Empowering Women The Story of Kotteswari Senthilnathan

Meet Kotteswari Senthilnathan, a remarkable woman from Erpakkam, a village in south India near the Eastern Ghats. Her journey from a determined individual to a community leader is truly inspiring.

🚜 Challenges

Erpakkam relies on agriculture, and many migrate for work, leaving a gap in social service awareness. Kotteswari stepped up, winning a Gram Panchayat seat in 2012, though she initially struggled.

🔹 Turning Point

Through the Pentapolis Foundation’s leadership training, she gained the confidence to lead effectively.

🏡 Milestones

She secured pensions, built roads, provided electricity, and helped make the village open-defecation free.

👩‍🦰 Women’s Rights

She launched campaigns to combat violence against women and encouraged open dialogues.

🚀 Future

Kotteswari continues to inspire, aiming to run for President in 2021 to further uplift her community.
